Coaching Requirements
The main requirements of coaches at REAL include the following;

2. Ability to Work well with others in a Team Environment.
3. Strong Communication Skills.
4. Can stay upwind.
5. Desire to Learn and Excel.


Location and Riding
The REAL Kiteboarding Lesson Center is located on the East Coast of the USA in Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. Cape Hatteras is a National Seashore and much of the island is protected land, leaving a beautiful landscape and plenty of wildlife. What's the best thing about Cape Hatteras? The watersports!

The REAL Lesson Center is located directly on the water with private access guaranteeing no crowds and premium riding conditions. This body of water is called the Pamlico Sound and it is waist deep to the horizon in every direction! Combine this with unobstructed winds from every direction and you have the ultimate teaching location!

The Pamlico Sound provides some of the best flat water riding in the world!


Excellent Wave Kiting Conditons! Only a few hundred yards away from REAL is the Atlantic Ocean. We have over 70 miles of ocean coastline offering unbelievable wave kiting conditions!

Non Kiteboarding Activities
Any place on earth is bound to have some light wind times but that doesn't mean you have to sleep all day! Here in Cape Hatteras, our alternative sports of choice include; surfing, skateboarding, sailing, wakeboarding, wakeskating, stand-up paddle surfing and more. Accommodations
Longer term accommodations in Cape Hatteras range from $300 to $600 per month.


Nightlife
Cape Hatteras is a relatively quiet spot but does have nightlife available if you are willing to make a short trip (25 minutes to Nags Head) or organize a party. Check out our REAL 8th Year Anniversary Staff Party this Summer!!
